OE12

OE12 uploads start lists and results to OResults through its Web → OResults.eu functions, and reads the punches of your OResults online controls back with Online monitor - Client Web.

Before you begin

• The event’s API key. See Connect your software with the API key on the Upload start lists and results page.
• For a multi-day event: one OResults event per stage, each with its own API key.
• To receive punches: the event ID, the number after /events/ in the event’s address in OResults.

Send data to OResults

1. In OE12, open Web → OResults.eu → Settings.
2. Paste the event’s API key and select Search. OE12 shows the OResults event the key belongs to, or an error message if the key is wrong.
3. Select OK. For a multi-day event, repeat steps 1 to 3 for each stage, with that stage open in OE12, and its key; OE12 keeps a key per stage and uses the right one for each upload.
4. Open Web → OResults.eu → Upload start list and select Upload.
5. Check that the runners arrived, as the last step of Connect your software with the API key describes.
6. During the race, open Web → OResults.eu → Upload results, select Upload and turn on its automatic updates.

To show split times from OE12’s own online controls, use Upload radio controls and Send online punches under Web → OResults.eu as well. Chapter 5.10.5 of the OE12 Handbook covers every OResults.eu function.

Receive punches from OResults

1. Start the Online monitor - Server on this or another PC in the network. OE12 saves the downloaded punches into the event through it.
2. Open the Online monitor - Client Web and connect it to that server with Connect.
3. Select OResults.eu in the list of web services at the top.
4. Enter the event ID in Event Id.
5. Select Start.

Troubleshooting

Receive punches from OResults

Punches are missing in OE12, or their times are off by whole hours: OResults reads OE12’s Date/Time in the event’s Timezone and writes each punch time in it too. Correct Timezone under Event info on the event’s Event & Access page and select Save changes.

Punches from earlier in the race are missing in OE12: OE12 fetches only the punches after the last Punch Id it downloaded. Set Punch Id to a lower value, or to 0 to start again from the first punch.
