Connect an activity provider
Exporting a file from your watch after every race is work you should not have to repeat. Link a provider once and each new run lands in Activities → My activities on its own, ready to connect to the event you ran — see Your activities. One provider is connectable today: intervals.icu, a free training log that Garmin, COROS, Polar, Suunto and Wahoo watches can all upload to. Go to Activities → Integrations to set it up and to see where every other service stands.
Connect intervals.icu
Section titled “Connect intervals.icu”intervals.icu sits between your watch and OResults: your watch uploads to intervals.icu, and intervals.icu passes the run on to us. It is a middle step, and it is there because the direct connections are not built yet.
Under Available now, the intervals.icu card walks you through three steps:
- Create a free intervals.icu account — no payment, no trial.
- Link your watch inside intervals.icu: in its Settings → Connections, tick Download activities on your watch’s card and approve the consent screen. The step carries an annotated screenshot of that screen; select it to enlarge.
- Connect intervals.icu to OResults with the Connect intervals.icu button. One approval screen follows on the intervals.icu side, and OResults only ever reads your activities.
The card then carries a green Connected badge and names the athlete account it is linked to.
What gets imported
Section titled “What gets imported”New runs arrive on their own, shortly after intervals.icu has finished processing them — there is nothing to press. Only recordings that carry a GPS track are taken: a session without one has no route to replay, so it is skipped.
Runs that reached intervals.icu from Strava are skipped as well. Strava’s terms let another app read your activities but not show them to anyone except you, which is exactly what a replay does, so link your watch to intervals.icu directly rather than through Strava.
Import past runs
Section titled “Import past runs”Connecting brings in nothing recorded before it. To fetch older races, select Import past runs on the card, pick the day to start from — the picker opens a week back — and select Import. Everything you recorded from that day until now is fetched, and anything already in your list is skipped, so running it again is harmless.
The import happens in the background. OResults tells you how many activities it queued, and the rows appear in My activities as each one is processed.
When the connection lapses
Section titled “When the connection lapses”If intervals.icu stops accepting our access the card turns to Needs reconnect and nothing new comes in. Reconnect restores it in one step and keeps everything already imported.
Disconnect ends the link deliberately. Activities already imported stay in your list; new ones stop arriving until you connect again.
Other providers
Section titled “Other providers”Below the card, Other providers covers the services people ask about most. It is a roadmap, not a feature list: nothing in it is connectable today, which is why its rows carry no buttons. Each row says where that service stands and who the wait is on.
| Status | Means | Listed today |
|---|---|---|
| In development | The provider’s API is open to us and the code is being written. | Polar, Suunto |
| Awaiting approval | Our developer application is with the provider; they decide, and there is no date we can honestly give. | Garmin, COROS |
| Not possible | The provider’s terms rule the integration out permanently. | Strava |
A provider that ships moves up into Available now and leaves this list. Until then, a Garmin, COROS, Polar or Suunto watch already reaches OResults through intervals.icu — what is missing is the direct link, not the route.
