Event payment
Billing is the last row of the event editor’s rail, and it answers one question: does this event cost anything, and what do I do about it.
Do I need to pay?
Section titled “Do I need to pay?”Which of four states the page opens in depends on the online controls the event used:
- No online controls — the event is covered by OResults and there is nothing to pay.
- Your own online controls — a fee applies, and the page shows a summary of what it covers and a Pay button.
- Blueboxes rented from OResults — an event running on rented Blueboxes is not billed here at all, because the rental is itself the support.
- Already paid — the page acknowledges the payment instead of asking for it, and the payment appears in the history below.
Uploading start lists, courses and results is free in every one of them — see Uploading event files. Only online controls an organizer connects themselves carry a fee; renting the hardware is covered on How to get online controls. A Donate button sits on the page in the three states where nothing is owed, for anyone who wants to support OResults beyond what their own event calls for.
Paying
Section titled “Paying”Pay hands you to a Stripe checkout page, itemized, with the quantities open for editing — if what OResults counted does not match how the controls were actually used, correct it there before confirming. Cancelling charges nothing and changes nothing: Pay is still on the Billing page afterwards and the payment can be completed whenever you are ready.
Stripe returns you to the event editor when you are done — to the Event & Access page rather than Billing, whether you paid or cancelled. Open Billing again from the rail to see the result.
Payment history
Section titled “Payment history”Payment History, below the summary, is the record of what has been paid for this event. Each row carries the date and time of the payment, its amount, its status as a badge, and the email address it was paid from. Before the first payment goes through the table is replaced by a line saying so.
Invoices
Section titled “Invoices”Invoices are arranged by email, not from this page. Once a payment has gone through, send your billing details — name, address, and VAT number if applicable — to invoice@oresults.eu.
